Campbells of America

The Campbell family from which Aaron descends can be traced directly from Sir Gillespic Campbel, who married Aife O'Duibhne, granddaughter of the Viking Godfred, the King of the Isle of Man in the 10th century. The family continued in Argyll for twenty one generations, intermarrying with many of the prominent clans of Scotland, including Stewart, Douglas, Lamont, Erskine and Bruce.
