SARC offers a 25 yd., six lane pool that is kept at a temperature of
84 degrees Fahrenheit. The pool has a minimum depth of 4 feet which
gently slopes to 12 feet. We have a 1 meter diving board and a rope
swing. Our latest addition is a 17 ft. high water slide with a run of 105 ft. in an enclosed tube. Patrons must be a minimum height of 44 inches to use the slide. An outdoor patio is available on warm sunny days.
A variety of aquatic exercise classes are available in both the
shallow and deep ends of the pool. Studies show that water walking
offers 12 times the resistance of regular walking for a low impact
aerobic exercise. Adult time is offered Monday - Friday 10 a.m. - 12
noon. The entire six lane pool is used for lap swim from 5:45 a.m. - 9
a.m. and again from 12 noon - 1 p.m. Monday - Friday. There is generally one lap lane open throughout the week. During swim lessons, adults (18 and up) are permitted in
the hot tub, sauna, and one lap lane. For open swim and slide hours, please check the schedule or call SARC at 683-3344 ext. 10.
As a part of our Aquatic lay-out, SARC offers a separate shallow pool kept at 88 degrees Fahrenheit. This temperature is especially valuable for young children and seniors.
A hydro therapy pool heated to 103 degrees Fahrenheit is available for
ages 16 and up. Children 7 and older must be accompanied by an adult or
guardian 16 yr. and older. Recommended time in the hydro therapy pool is 10 minutes.
A state-of-the-art air-to-air system is used in the natatorium area
for superb air quality. Chlorine is used as a disinfectant.
For the relaxation of our patrons, both a dry sauna and a steam sauna are located off the pool for those 16 years and older. Again, recommended time is 10 minutes. The dry sauna temperature is 180 degrees Fahrenheit.
