I
invented an inflatable wingsail that utilized inflatable batten
technology. The first prototypes were made with a totally symmetric
foil, and showed promising top-end performance. These represent
the first ever designed wingsails that are both soft and buoyant,
and can be packed into a small bag when not in use.
