4/10/2005 --Finian Maynard SETS A NEW OUTRIGHT world speedsailing record by averaging 48.7 knots over 500 meters in Saint Marie de la Mer, France!!!

for details, check www.mastersofspeed.com

11/13/2004 --Finian Maynard smashes the existing world speedsailing record by averaging 46.82 knots over 500 meters in Saint Marie de la Mer, France. He used an asymmetric wide-sock sail I designed for Naish. Also notable were an aerodynamic wetsuit developed by ProLimit, and a board made by F2.

The purpose of this page to share the sails that I developed for Naish in an effort to break the world speedsailing record. I hope that my design ideas inspire others to think about new ways to approach sailmaking. I am indebted to Robby Naish for his company's commitment. I must thank Finian Maynard for his passion, guts, and unequalled sailing skills.
