This tutorial was put together rather hastily a few years ago in response to a request on the part of several new clients who could not find useful reference material to continue the exploration of their horoscopes after an initial session. I was told that what they found was far too involved and overblown to be of use for their purposes; they didn't want to become astrologers, they just wanted to understand their own horoscopes in their own terms. What they sought were insights into the essences of the basic astrological attributes, with the understanding that the process of discovering how those attributes applied to themselves in particular would be a useful and rewarding exercise. This point of view was consistent with my approach as an astrologer: "I will introduce you to your horoscopic material and help you in your investigation, but you have to do the work yourself".
