Our Vision: Thriving and growing year-round social and competitive tennis for all ages and skill levels.
Our Mission: To encourage, promote, and enhance tennis opportunities for everyone in Clallam County
The Peninsula Tennis Club of Port Angeles, Washington is a Community Tennis Association dedicated to promoting tennis on the Olympic Peninsula. We are a registered non-profit organization and a member of the USTA. We raise money through membership dues and the annual Saundra Kent Memorial Tennis Tournament. We award tennis scholarships to high school students from Sequim and Port Angeles who have participated in the tennis programs at school through their senior year.
To encourage play we
publish regular newsletters and a roster with names and phone numbers of members
who like to play singles and/or doubles. A ball machine is available for
members. There are regularly scheduled Open Tennis times (mixers), where you can
meet other members (please refer to the
Community Tennis page),
and we sponsor Tennis Leagues in the Spring & Fall along with other tennis
events. All of our tennis events are open to players who are not members of the
Peninsula Tennis Club.
We also help to maintain area courts. We have provided wind screens, new
nets, and replaced lights at the Port Angeles High School courts. We have purchased four court
rollers for use at the High School and Peninsula College. We are
spearheading a project with the City of Port Angeles to rebuild 4 tennis courts at Erickson Park.
