Olympic Community Action Programs

Senior Nutrition operates out of the Center and provides two programs that offer low cost nutritious meals for seniors.

¨      Congregate Meals provides a sit down meal Monday through Friday at 4:30 pm in the Center dining room.

·        Please make reservations at least 24 hours in advance either in person or by phone. To make reservations by phone, call 457-8921 and please leave name and phone number when leaving a message.

·        Suggested Donation: $3.00 (Age 60 and over) Guests welcome: $5.00 (Under 60, unless a spouse).

 

¨      Meals on Wheels provides a hot nutritious meal to the home of those who have difficulty getting out.

·        Meals are available each Wednesday and cost $3.00 for each meal.

·        To arrange for delivery please call 457-8921.

¨      Senior Information & Assistance offers free assistance to anyone 60 or older. Assistance is also available to families who are caring for older loved ones.

·        Trained staff can direct seniors to the right service and help them to ask the appropriate questions.

·        They will assist in planning and actual decision making.

·        They are also familiar with and can help with the paperwork puzzle.

·        Respite care services are also available to arrange for temporary relief for unpaid caregivers so they can take a break.
