The Band program at Port Angeles High School, led by Mr. Doug Gailey, is comprised of five ensembles. The Concert Band 1st hour, the Jazz Band second hour, the Symphonic Band third hour, the Wind Ensemble fourth hour, and Percussion Ensemble sixth hour.

The Concert Band is comprised of primarily Freshmen, but for performances upper classmen fill in needed instrumentation. The Symphonic Band is the band for all musicians after Freshman year who are not in one of the select, audition-only ensembles. The Jazz Band is a select ensemble that performs Jazz literature and plays at festivals outside of school as well as at school concerts. The Wind Ensemble is the other select ensemble, which performs professional quality music at school concerts along with out-of-town performances. Percussion Ensemble is made up of solely percussive instruments, and plays along with the wind bands at performances. The Marching Band is an after school activity with practices twice a week and performances at all home varsity football games.
