HIGHLIGHTS OF ARKANSAS

TOP       I have eliminated the thumbnail photos. Just scroll down the page. This is as large as they get.

This view from the parking structure highlights the main street of Hot Springs, Bath House Row. The large building in the back is Veterans Hospital. In the middle, at the end of the walkway, stands Ozark Bathhouse with its red roof and the still operating Buckstaff Bathhouse in white and blue.

Hot Springs National Park is actually Bathhouse Row. The Park Visitor Center is in Fordyce Bathhouse where you can take a self-guided tour of the facility and imagine what it was like in the early 1900's when it was a popular retreat.

On Sunday and one of the few rainy days,  we drove over to Little Rock.
To our surprise, the Capitol Building was open so we stopped for a look around.

The Clinton Presidential Library looked like a good place to spend a rainy Sunday. We had never been in a Presidential Library before and we were quite impressed.
After a few days in Arkansas we headed up to Branson, Missouri.  More to come.
