In 1994 Ann Miletich traveled with a humanitarian medical/dental team to South America to work with orphaned children. The trip changed the direction of Ann's life and work. Since that time she has created an international humanitarian aid project, accessed through education, art, and community called "Hearts and Hands ACROSS the Americas".
The project is an on-going effort across the United States and international-lines. She and other artists are now working together, to facilitate educational workshops utilizing art as language while creating avenues for community and school-age children in the United States to reach out to the global community of orphans. Ann is creating a national portrait with the project and spends part of each year working in both studios and with orphans around the world.
