Definition of a Artist Proof

The Artist Proof Edition is an edition that is run after the original print edition is made. The prints are part of the artists private collection and are sold after the regular print edition is sold out. The edition is limited in number to 10% of the original edition. If a print run was for 500 then there are usually 50 Artists Proof Prints.
