The LDSsite has a Louis Nicholas Younker born 14 June 1877/78 at Hickery{Hickory] Hill, Cole Co. Missouri. This is the same county where Louis'mother was from (east of Sedalia). Louis' obit in the Sedalia, Democratfor Wed., Jan 11 says he was born June 14, 1878 at Hickory Hill, MO.Louie married a Clara Blatterman, also from Sedalia, on 22 Dec, 1897.The marriage license was recorded in Sedalia on 22 Dec, 1897. Thelicense indicates that Louie was not yet 21 and so had to have thepermission of his father, Nicholas to marry Clara. Nicholas granted thepermission. Louie and Clara were married by John F. Seibert, pastor ofthe Trinity Lutheran Church. Louie worked as a fireman with the M. K.and T. (Missouri, Kansas, and Texas) "Katy" Railroad in Sedalia.According to some family recollection, Louie N. Missouri.This is the same county where Louis' mother was from (east of Sedalia).Thus is seems most probably at this point, that Louis was born 14 June,1877 in Missouri. Roy David says that his uncle Louie, like his brotherFred Benjamin, later went to California also, sometime after 1912. Basedon the info from his mother's (Louise) obituary and death certificate, itappears the Louie did not move from Sedalia. Roy David Younker recallsonly three children: Ed, (3 Jan, 1903-July 1978); Ray and Irene. However,the 1900 Census indicates they had a one-year old son named Hurbert H.and another newborn son as yet unnamed (Ray). Louie and wife Claralived 8 blocks east of Grandpa Roy's family in southern California. [Thismay have been Louie's son, Herbert Yunker]. When brother Fred B.
