Summer school registration will begin at 8:30. The program will begin at 9am and continue until 3:00pm with breaks and a lunch break. Participants are asked to bring their own lunches. Coffee and Tea will be provided.
The program will focus on navigating the free genealogical data bases and will feature several wonderful presentations throughout the day. Raymond Madsen and Joleen Atchison will explain how to get the best results using FamilySearch, Jim Johnson will speak on how to use Google in Genealogy, Virginia Majewski will give an overview of Heritage Quest, FindAGrave and Exploring the State Archive sites.
The cost of the program is $25 which can be paid ahead or at the door. It is recommended that participants save a place by calling CCGS at 360-417-5000 or drop by the Society’s Research Center on the corner of Lauridsen Blvd. and Peabody Street in Port Angeles. (Seating may be limited. )
Heritage Quest Booksellers will be coming as well with a selection of genealogical books and materials.
