Forgive me, a man of blood, flesh and bone

Forgive me; I have sins for which I atone

Forgive me my faults for they are endless in number

Redundant and abundant my mind they encumber

We focus on sorrows and sadness in life

Forgetting that all of us suffer in strife

Forgive one another to forgive is required

For in hatred and loathing our minds become mired
