I am the one you have longed to know
The one with whom your day dreams grow
With tints of blue and a devotion true
These are the things I wish for you
I see you in a distant haze
When twilight parts my dreams these days
I long to touch you in the light of day
Have a dance or two with a gentle sway
For this moment you are just my dreams
Of candy coated visions it seems
There is so much left to do
With songs to sing and dreams of you
Do we depart with dreams left un-done
Forever longing with the morning’s sun
So I will send to you a wish this day
We will meet again in my dreams I pray
