Beauty

Wrinkled lines from hardship envelope weathered brows

Like storm ravaged landscapes of trees with broken boughs

I have seen a smile forming on a time worn weathered face

Like the morning sun that’s dawning with warmth we’ll soon embrace

Little words of comfort that ease a worried soul

Bring forth a vibrant rainbow in a world that takes a toll

The beauty is in a smile a glint in weary eyes

The joy of a moment apparent without surmise

Give freely without hinder the treasure that you hold

Your gesture of a kindness is more valuable than gold

Have you seen the beauty?
