I
Only Have
I only have today and tomorrow
Letting go of the past and all of its sorrow
Reaching for all that life has to offer
Not worrying about adding another coin to my coffer
I've faced death twice and came back to live
Seeing differently the world and what we can give
A rainbow of colors paint the earth and the sky
A cool breeze off the ocean, watching a humming bird fly
Butterflies flutter with gossamer wings
Breeze whistling through trees, a melody sings
I receive what I give in the life that I lead
As I search in hope, have I planted a seed?
I only have today and tomorrow
Letting go of the past and all of its sorrow
