The Meaning of Life

For Peter F. Bahnsen III

The purpose of life is a life of purpose. My purpose is contained in my creed.

The challenge and meaning of life is to become more godlike and by doing so to approach god by living the godlike aspirations to benevolence and caring embodied in most of our major religions. It is my belief that if our species does so we will fulfill our purpose and achieve an expanding, endlessly new, universe approaching immortality, omnipotence, and omniscience.

A meaningful life requires that we internalize the Zen like appreciation of the now and create, teach, select and improve while refusing to blame gods or people for success and failures.

A meaningful life requires that we live fully and not give in to those who are afraid of the future or afraid of change.  Living fully means embracing rational choices to change and improvement as we are best able to see it.

A meaningful life means constant learning which defines our species. A meaningful life also means doing which defines us individually and requires us to pick an important issue of the day to make it better or to expand knowledge.

A meaningful life has love as a key to purpose. Love includes the fruits of change to improve our species both in external and internal capabilities so that we may decrease suffering and pain while we enable others of our species to become more godlike.

A meaning of life is found in, loving, learning, doing, improving, and living each day, each hour and each minute to the fullest.
