Peter F Bahnsen III was born in Athens Georgia and escaped the Georgia  heat by winning an appointment to the U.S. Military Academy at West Point , graduating in 1958.  He followed his distinguished Brother, General “Doc” Bahnsen  at  West Point and went on to become a SES3  member of the Senior Executive Service in the Office Secretary of Defense.  In the book about his brother, “American Warrior” , you will find much of their mutual background.

 Presently Peter Bahnsen’s life  revolves around  serious trading on the Stock Market, some residual venture investing,  writing and web publishing, as well as work involving changing and improving the government of our U.S. Republic. His boating days in the Northwest are over  --made that trip to Alaska but he is now selling his aircraft so that he might spend full time endeavoring to change and improve our U.S. National Government.

 Peter Bahnsen’s experience includes U.S. Army and Defense Department work in Special Operations including ventures in Europe, Vietnam, as well as various countries in South America.  His most notable work experiences aside from combat in Vietnam and combat assistance to foreign nations involved in insurgency, include working for the revitalization of Special Operation, aid in creating the Special Operations Unified Command, revamping of the Army Officer Schooling System, and creation of Research and Development programs in Counter Terrorism and Special Operations. His civilian work experiences include support to Intelligence around the world and senior level marketing.  He has participated in various venture startups and been the Chief Operating Office in two start-up ventures.  He commanded units of Special Operations, Psychological Operations and Infantry Units -- both Airborne and Armored.

 Dceased wife of 33 years, Kathleen Dearden, passed due to Cancer in1991. Their two Children live in Virginia. He remarried Lana Scales, the widow of a former West Point Classmate. Lana has two children and two grandchildren

 Aside from many army Schools and Graduation from West Point Peter Bahnsen is a graduate of American University and attended a professional course at Harvard. He speaks Spanish, English and Southern.
